My happiest memories of Steven are of him being the instigator in all sorts of dangerous activities. Dousing the sandbox with gasoline and starting it on fire. Lighting on fire those little paper-wrapped gun-powders that you throw on the ground. Fireworks that you attach to the inside of a locker so when someone opens the door it explodes. Collecting unburned bits from sparklers and lighting them on fire with a magnifying glass. Collecting bottles to be melted/burned using sparklers. Bringing home a big blob of tar from the highway. There were also less dangerous activities, like bringing home pop rocks and snake skins. Also learning all things Klutz-related, including juggling, magic tricks, unicycling, guitar, etc. He was the perfect example of mischief. The important thing to remember about these types of mischief is that they're all harmless -- the worst that could have happened is someone could have been maimed or killed. He never got us into gangs or drugs or anything that could cause real harm. And for that, I'm grateful for his good example. And for all the fun, I'm grateful for his good example.
